Mutoh ValueJet 1617H Hybrid Printer

The Mutoh ValueJet 1617H roll and rigid printer integrates numerous high tech features for high quality output on to a variety of media.

Latest 1440dpi Piezo Print Head
The ValueJet 1617H incorporates a latest generation piezo drop-on-demand variable drop print head. This 1440-nozzle head (8 lines of 180 nozzles) has four colour sections, each divided in to two nozzle rows with 360 nozzles per colour. Since all the colour sections are in one head, there is no need for time-consuming head calibration procedures.

Easy-to-use Ink Packs
Mutoh MP11 inks for the ValueJet 1617H will deliver high quality prints on a wide range of uncoated environmentally friendly low cost substrates. A unique feature of these inks is that they enable printing on to both roll and rigid media. The MP11 CMYK (950ml) + white (500ml) inks are non-petrochemical based. The key carrier, comprising 50% of the ink, is derived from corn. They are fixed and dried at regular heating temperatures. UV outdoor durability is up to 3 years.

Intelligent Interweaving print technology (I²).
I² drastically reduces or even completely eliminates defects such as horizontal banding, ink mottle, bleed and the visible effects of missing or misfiring nozzles. To achieve this, ink is laid down in carefully optimised wave forms as opposed to the straight lines used on most wide format printers.

Full Width 64″ Air Knife Media Drying System
Output is dry straight from the printer thanks to the integrated full width 64″ air knife media drying system. The air knife delivers instant heat from the top allowing quick drying of roll and rigid prints. A typical surface temperature of 50°C (or lower) enables wide substrate compatibility

Optional Spectrophotometer

The ValueJet 1617H can be equipped with Mutoh’s optional SpectroVue VM-10 spectrophotometer. Directly attachable to the print head carriage or shuttle of the printer, the VM-10 allows the user to monitor colour drift over time, from job to job or even within a large job. The VM-10 can also be used to build ICC colour profiles and linearization files in combination with supporting software.

Front & Rear Roller Tables

With front and rear roller tables, the printer can accommodate rigid materials up to 15mm thick with a maximum weight of 15kg. Automatic media thickness detection helps simplify the set up.

The ValueJet 1617H reaches board printing speeds up to 300 sqft an hour in production mode, but you also get a printer that you can use for both car wraps and rigid substrates with equal ease. Mutoh’s new ValueJet 1617H prints directly onto corrugated plastics, polystyrene, pvc, acrylic, polycarbonate, foam board, aluminum composite, banner material, vinyl, wall coverings and more.

UV Alternative Bio-Based Ink. Not only does MP Ink give you high performance on rigid substrates, it also prints beautifully on roll surfaces with an exceptionally wide color gamut.
